What is PRINCE2?

PRINCE2 stands for PRojects IN Controlled Environments which is widely recognized and used in the private as well as public sector. It is a widely accepted method for managing projects.

The PRINCE2 method is made up of four integrated elements:

  • PRINCE2 Processes

  • Project Environment

PRINCE2 Practitioner Level

The PRINCE2 Foundation Level introduces the PRINCE2 method.

PRINCE2 Practitioner Level is for project managers, aspiring project managers, and anyone who manages projects.

It aims to provide knowledge on PRINCE2 method well enough to be able to work efficiently as a member of project management team.

It is more advanced than the Foundation Level and helps you work independently as a Project Manager.

There is no prerequisite for the Foundation certification.

The Foundation certification is a prerequisite for the Practitioner certification.

Examination Format -

  • Multiple choice questions

  • 60 questions per paper

  • 33 marks required (out of 60 available) to pass: 55%

  • One hour's (60 minutes) duration

  • Closed book.

 

Examination Format -

  • Objective testing

  • 68 questions per paper

  • 38 marks or more required to pass (out of 68 available): approximately 55%

  • 150 minutes duration, no additional reading time

  • Open book exam (official PRINCE2 manual only).
